Happy weekend to our $PALM community! We hope you had a great week , it is my pleasure to say that the team certainly did. This is the second of our Friday Recap posts, and is going to be published on Saturday, our first AMA taking a chunk off our evening. Let’s start on the same note as we did with last week’s recap — thank you sincerely to all of our community members, old and new ones for continuing to accompany us as we take this project to define the future of AI chatbot utilization.

In this week’s recap we’re going to go through:

  • 1.1.5 “Flow Update” — what’s new?
  • Our thoughts on the first AMA
  • Community feedback importance
  • News of the past week in short
  • What do the next few weeks hold for $PALM?

This recap might be a bit longer than last week’s, but in our opinion the substantial improvements and growth our project has achieved in the past week deserve a reflection. Let’s get right into it!

1.1.5 “Flow Update” Version Release

As we developed PaLM from a simple chatbot to the API integrations phase and kept adding more and more features rapidly, two aspects were not able to catch up: the documentation and the user interface. These in turn sabotaged the user experience — commands were not especially intuitive, and you had to know some of them from our Telegram group announcements to know how to use them!

The Flow Update is thus one of the most important updates PaLM AI has received this far, because it significantly improves the UX (User Experience). As we all know, user experience is essential in how the average user feels about the product, and those feelings are in turn crucial in whether the user chooses to adopt the product. A Telegram chabot is no exception to this rule. In the past few years, Telegram chatbots have moved away from the command-based interfaces to inline keyboards, also known as “buttons”. These buttons serve the exact same function as calling commands, but have the significant advantage of making it easier for users to know what they’re doing better by exposing all the options at once and allowing the user to quickly navigate to launch a certain functionality without having even used the bot in question before.

Shown in the image are the new ways to interact with PaLM. Every command is given a brief explanation and a definition. This should leave no doubt on the part of certain users how to perform X function.

In addition, the team worked on a STT (Speech to Text) feature. This was still mishearing a ton on Friday, so we worked on it overnight and then in shifts, and finally got it done. It works currently only for command-free input, so you simply drop an .mp3 file to PaLM using Telegram’s audio message function. The .mp3 must not be longer than 15 seconds. PaLM will then run the “Thinking…” process and reply to you in due time. With this feature added, we can declare PaLM hands-free.

The First AMA (17th of November) on Twitter Spaces

In our first AMA, we touched upon many subjects, notably we talked about the short and long term goals of the project and what can people and investors expect from us in regards to many potentials, such as a CEX listing or partnerships with other projects and even companies.

The host was professional and we liked having him on. The Lead Technival Developer of the project was in the role of Mr. Palm, speaking on behalf of the team. In addition we had Mr. Coconut, who is a community moderator and an important investor in the project join us and give his insights.

Our AMA was received well. 700 persons approx. have tuned in to listen to it. In our poll with 80 votes, 98% (89% + 9%) of people regarded the AMA positively, leaving only 2% who weren’t in agreement. We will certainly consider this result in planning the next AMA.

Importance of Community Feeback & Last Week’s Event Recap

Feedback has caused up to date about 40% of PaLM’s features. We are committed to adding all feasible good suggestions to PaLM and will continue to do so. At a point when PaLM will dominate the Telegram bot space and have “all the features”, our development goals might become overwhelmingly community-controlled. Testing and feedback is so very important to us that we cannot emphasize how thankful we are for it. Sometimes large companies use twice the development time for the testing and polishing process so we are happy that you are participating in that process for us and enable a faster development cycle for each new update.

Last week, we partened up with Flooz, a leading blockchain analytics platform that helps you invest with confidence. $PALM can be purchased with a credit card, Apple or Google Pay, and bank transfers, making it accessible to all. The widget to use Flooz is available on our website. We also worked on fixing the LP staking rewards counter, did some advertisement marketing and had all our contracts audited by SolidProof. These are all in addition to the well known updates such as version 1.1 of 16th of November. Our Twitter and Telegram communities also surged in new members this week.

Next Few Weeks for $PALM

Within the timeframe of the next few weeks, you should see:

  • Finalized API integrations up until the update 1.3 with Travel & News data
  • AI Google Search engine embedded into PaLM
  • Partnerships finalized and realized with cross-utility cooperation
  • Revenue Share Dashboard
  • More marketing and more amazing updates!

With those the writer can lay his fingers down from writing and go talk to PaLM, utilizing the new interface to let his friends check out analysis on the tokens they are invested in while cracking a beer.

Thank you for reading and enjoy the weekend.
